The Theme of the National Queer Arts Festival is Milestones, and we got Milestones all over our faces! The Queer Open Mic I believe is a milestone in many queer artists lives in the community, particularly mine. But it’s not all about me folks, (who am I kidding, yes it is!) I know so many of our regulars have had life changing, life affirming and life altering experiences because of the San Francisco Queer Open Mic, which is why I felt we belonged in the festival.
